Smoking Cigars
I just read in the papers that a new floor price has been introduced on cigarettes. In my opinion, things like cigarettes should be made so expensive that the majority of the population will not be able to afford them and save their lungs and health. Unfortunately, that price range will not stop most people from smoking. Worst, the richer people will conveniently move on to cigars such as Drew Estate cigars which are said to be even worse for your health.

Company Health Insurance
My company recently introduced a low cost health insurance plan that they managed to negotiate with one of the leading insurance companies in the country. The package does sound attractive and I'm wondering whether I should consider committing in it especially with the impending move. Will give myself a bit more time to mull it over first before signing the dotted line.

Health Insurance
I recently attended a talk in my office on health savings account that was offered by an insurer at special rates and privileges for the staff. It sounded pretty good and was only applicable if a large number of staff sign up for it before mid-2010. I hope they do get the numbers they were looking for as I was interested in it and am seriously considering signing up for it.
Dirty Toilets
After going around the world a bit, I realise that the toilets here still have a long way to go. I was recently in Singapore and noticed that even their shopping mall toilets were beautifully designed with swanky bathroom lights, big clean sinks and most importantly dry floors! There were cleaners constantly cleaning and mopping and they were incredibly clean compared to some of the really disgusting toilets we get here. I still don't understand why our toilets have to be so wet and dirty, even in the swanky malls!
